Slap Fear In The Face And Win!

What is Fear? False Evidence Appearing Real.

People fear failure because they fear that they will not succeed. People also fear success because they are afraid of what to do next. But, more so afraid of doing the work that creates success.

Fear is something that most people hold in their hearts right next to their goals and dreams. Fear tells them that they will never achieve or make it. Fear holds them back and often times can control the trajectory of one’s life. In fact, I once knew a woman who held back for many years from having children--she had dreamed of being a mother since childhood--simply because of fear. A fear that she wouldn’t be a perfect mother. She prayed every night seeking guidance but held back and did not choose to be a mom over how terrified she was of mistakes. Finally, after searching and searching the answer came to her. She realized praying to God to make her the perfect mother was pointless, as when she was put on this earth God had already made her the mother, He wanted her to be--which was perfect in her own way. That woman was me. I realized that yes, while it’s important to turn to Him for guidance, He already guides us by His own hand whether we realize it or not. There’s no manual to be a perfect mother. And yes, we may make mistakes, but that’s not the end of the world. All we can do is wake up and go at it again the next day and we cannot let fear hold us back from ever even trying. While you may be scared whether or not you are going to achieve your dreams, the one way to ensure you never will is never giving up.

God reminds us in 2 Timothy 1:7 csb For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and sound judgement.

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with My righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 csb
