Delayed, Not Denied

Have you felt as though you have been pressed in some ways all the time?   Do you think as though you are up against obstacles or impossibilities? There may be challenges standing between you and your miracles. That pressing is giving way to joy because it is God's time to birth new things in your life.

There was a story about a woman being pressed in the bible. No one knows her name. She is known as the woman with an issue of blood. She had been dealing with this issue for twelve years. What issue have you been dealing with for along time? You have tried everything you can think of. Nothing seems to work. You become frustrated, angry, sad and just about to give up. Then your last hope is to pray.

The woman with the issue of blood heard about Jesus and all the miracles He had performed. She heard that Jesus was coming. She decided that if she could get near Him, touch Him, she knew that she would be healed. She pressed! She didn’t give up! She had faith!

Then when she touched Him.

Mark 5:29-34 CSB

“Instantly her flow of blood ceased, and she sensed in her body that she was cured of her affliction.  At once Jesus realized in Himself that power had gone out from Him. He turned around in the crowd and said, "Who touched My robes?"   His disciples said to Him, "You see the crowd pressing against You, and You say, 'Who touched Me?' "   So He was looking around to see who had done this.   Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came with fear and trembling, fell down before Him, and told Him the whole truth.   "Daughter," He said to her, "your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be free from your affliction."

Your destiny is to be a testimony.

So, if getting close to Jesus requires you to press hard against some things right now, don't give up. Remember, you can press forward because God is pulling you.

Prayer:  "God, in this small hour, I am pressing in. I am touching Jesus as I have never touched Him before."

Remember- the pressure is a sign that the new birth is happening. The pain will soon give way to joy. (John 16:21 KJV). * - Helen Calder
